Q: What sets Lakeway apart from other neighborhoods around Austin?
 
A: Its sheer beauty sets it apart from the rest of Austin. As soon as you come into the Lake Travis area, you start seeing greenery and rolling hills and the water.
 
Q: What unique features does Lakeway have?
 
A: We’ve got several trail systems — the Hamilton Greenbelt which goes all the way to the water. Most neighborhoods around here are surrounded by some preserve or greenspace that have access to their own neighborhood trails. Some of them even connect – Lakeway connects to Rough Hollow that connects to Serene Hills.
 
Q: Your day calls for a shopping spree, where are you going?
 
A: I love going shopping at all the various locally owned boutiques in the Lake Travis area. In Bee Cave, there’s Jules Design Bar where you can stop for an afternoon beverage or pick up a closing gift. In the mornings, one of my favorite places to go is Runaway Luna, also kind of in The Galleria area where they have adorable knick-knacks for your house and closing gifts. It’s also a great place to meet a friend for a cup of coffee or a breakfast taco.
 
Q: What is it about real estate in the Central Texas area that appeals to you?
 
A: Real estate in Central Texas changes just as much as the seasons change. Having lived in Central Texas my entire life, each neighborhood feels a little like home to me. Getting to understand the nuances of each neighborhood from the tax rate, to how long the homes have been there, and which ones have been remodeled. It’s a very interesting place to live and it’s been fun to watch it grow.
 
 

About Jamie

Born in Texas but raised in the military, Jamie understands the challenges of relocation and works diligently to make it a smooth process for all parties. As a long-time resident of Austin, she is very familiar with the city and surrounding areas. Studying the market and understanding the potential impact on clients is a passion for her.

Q: You’re looking for a dinner restaurant with sweet treats for dessert in Lakeway, where are you going?
 
A: If you want the best, it’s the fried apple pie at The League – think McDonald’s apple pie, heated with ice cream. Also, the Italian crème cake from Giovanni’s. When you get there, ask them to take it out of the fridge so it has time to thaw and get to room temperature. You will not regret that decision.
 
Q: What is most appealing to you about real estate in Central Texas?
 
A: To see the attraction of so many people wanting to relocate here, and people who are in the state wanting to relocate within Austin just presents so much opportunity. You meet so many cool people from so many different backgrounds and places. 
 
Q: Why should someone move to Lakeway?
 
A: I think it just depends on what their interests are. Lakeway might not be a fit for everyone, but at least for the clients that I’ve helped move here or friends that live here, it’s because of the draw. If you’re a big outdoors person, if you like diversity not just in the people you’re around but in age groups and things to do, it really does have something for everybody. It’s the bubble, and you don’t really need to leave the bubble. You can move around a lot in it but it’s kind of got everything you need.

Q: Where is the best place to grab a drink in Lakeway?
 
A: One of my top favorites is The Grammercy. They have an amazing menu and special cocktails that are hard to find anywhere else. There’s nothing else like it here in this area. It’s a place you can go and have late dinner and a drink — one of a kind in our area.
 
Q: What do you think is the best spot to enjoy time with friends and family on the weekend?
 
A: The Galleria has a lot of different food options and there’s a fun outdoor space for kids and families where the kids can run around in an area designated for children. There’s also a very special place called Front Yard Brewery that’s also very family friendly. You have the option there of drinking wine or drinking beer because they have both, which is also hard to come by.
 
Q: Are there any unique features to Lakeway?
 
A: It’s a great area because you’re so close to other areas like Fredericksburg, Marble Falls and Central Texas in general, so traveling is very easy when you hit 71 and go out west. Another thing I really love about this area is you have access to the lake. Lakeway has some beautiful parks and hiking trails with views of the hills.
 
Q: Why do you think someone should consider moving to Lakeway?
 
A: I think this is a great spot to raise your family. Austin is an amazing place, but I I love living in Lakeway because it reminds me of a small-town vibe and sometimes when you’re in a big city you lose that. You’ll see teachers and friends at the grocery store or at the park while you’re hiking.

A: Lakeway is such a wonderful community to raise a family. It’s such a friendly community. People love meeting their neighbors and getting together. It’s very kid oriented, which is nice for families because there’s always something to do. 
 
Q: What is a unique feature about Lakeway?
 
A: I think what is really special is the outdoor recreational opportunities, access to nature and our lake out here. It’s so pretty and laid back. It’s definitely its own little bubble. It’s close enough to Austin so if you want to go into the city, you can, but you don’t have to leave the Lakeway area to have everything you want.
 
Q: If you were to recommend an outdoor destination in Lakeway, where would it be?
 
A: Lakeway City Park is one of my favorite places to go. The sand volleyball courts are fun, but there’s also a really nice playground and trail. It’s a great gathering place if you want to do playdates or have birthday parties.
 
Q: Why would you recommend someone to move to Lakeway?
 
A: Lakeway is a great option for really any type of buyer. If you’re looking for a laid-back lifestyle and want to have a little more space and quiet than the city, Lakeway has a lot of community amenities. It’s great for people who want a little more outdoor access along with safety, privacy and a little distance from the city.

A: I’m currently a member at the golf course within the gated community of The Hills. Other than golf, I like hiking in this area. You’re close to the lake, so boating is fun for us with the kids. There’s ample opportunity to be active outside, eat outside and live outside.
 
Q: What about real estate in the Lakeway area appeals to you most?
 
A: I like the lifestyle. I really enjoy the people and the clientele that we’ve been able to represent both on the sell and buy side. There’s a lot of really good networking opportunities out here whether you’re getting to meet people at the golf course or out to eat.
 
Q: Why should someone move to Lakeway?
 
A: The growth. As you go west from Austin, you come through Lakeway to get to all of these master-planned developments with golf courses that are going to break ground here in the near future. There’s so much land and more plans for this area and I think the possibilities are endless.
