Christmas at the Caswell House

An Austin community tradition since 1983, Christmas at the Caswell House is presented by the Austin Junior Forum and raises funds that are distributed to local charities and non-profits through a grants program.
Wurstfest

The most popular event of its kind in central Texas! Wurstfest celebrates German culture with good food, music, dancing, carnival rides and games, German, Texan and domestic beer, special events and the finest in Alpine and Bavarian Style Entertainment.
Texas Book Festival

More than 40,000 book lovers of all ages will be gathering in and around the Texas Capitol to attend panel discussions, readings, and signings of over 250 authors the first weekend of November. One of the country's premier literary events, Texas Book Festival also offers live music, local food, cooking demonstrations, children's activities and vendors from across the state.
Texas Monthly BBQ Festival

This tasty BBQ festival has four rules—Muster as many of Texas' best BBQ joints as possible, have them serve up their specialties side-by-side, let smoke and sauce fly, and let The People decide who cooks up the best.
East Austin Studio Tour

For two weekends in a row, more than 150 of the East Side's galleries and studios will open their doors to the public. This free, self-guided art event provides an opportunity to meet local artists and artisans while also exploring the literary and education scene on the East Side.
Turkey Trot

Work up a Thanksgiving-sized appetite at ThunderCloud Subs' annual Turkey Trot. Participate in this 5-mile run and 1-mile walk, competing with the best of Austin or bringing the kids for a more relaxed holiday jog.
Blue Genie Art Bazaar
November 24 - December 24 (10a - 10p)
6100 Airport Blvd
A unique holiday art show held in Austin, the Blue Genie Art Bazaar has been a local favorite for 15 years. The free Bazaar features handmade artwork and gifts from over 200 local and regional artists, and a portion of proceeds are donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
