City of Austin Rings in the Virtual New Year

Looking for a fun, safe way to ring in the new year? Tune in on Thursday, December 31st to enjoy Austin's New Year Virtual Event from the comfort of your home. This free event features eight local bands playing in iconic venues around the city. Austin favorites will be headlining such as Shaky Graves, Parker McCollum, and many more.

“COVID-19 has been devastating to our special events and entertainment industry. In 2020, the virtual Austin’s New Year event can benefit some of our local musicians and venues,” said City Manager Spencer Cronk. “We pride ourselves in being The Live Music Capital of the World, and this event will allow us to experience a little piece of Austin while celebrating safely from home.”
