Every Memorial Day, CrossFit enthusiasts around the world partake in the “Murph” workout challenge. ‘Murph’ is named after Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. The challenge consists of a one-mile rule, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats, followed by another one-mile run.
