Turn your faucets to drip (both hot & cold)

Keep the heat on at 60 degrees or higher

Leave cabinet doors in bathrooms and kitchens open to allow pipes underneath the sinks to receive warm air

Stay alert of any ice when walking and driving

Turn off irrigation/sprinkler systems

Charge electronic devices and have candles/flashlights in case of power outages

Wrap exposed pipes located outside or in unheated areas of the home

Cover vents around your home's foundation

If you are not home shut off the water at the cut-off valve and drain all outside water faucets

Cover windows and doors to prevent heat from escaping
