Lock all doors and windows: Double-check that all doors and windows are locked and secured before you leave.
Reinforce locks: Consider installing deadbolts on exterior doors and reinforcing window security.
Store valuables securely: Keep valuables out of sight and consider a safe for important items.
Don't hide keys outside: Avoid hiding spare keys under doormats or in other obvious locations.
Tell a neighbor: If your neighbors know you are out of town they can keep you informed on any suspicious activity going on.

Get a ring doorbell or Smart home system: A ring camera will allow you to check who is at your front door from your phone like packages being delivered or neighbors coming to check on your home or pets.
