Davis Gallery

Davis Gallery will be showing their exhibit Flora and Fauna, works ranging from deeply layered collage to sublime still photography. From bold primal sculptures and large vibrant colorful paintings to intimate explorations of the human condition. Stop by any time between August 21st to September 25th to visit the exhibit.
Wally Workman Gallery

Wally Workman Gallery showcases over 50 artists in the two-story house that it resides in. They showcase contemporary and figurative work as well as many other types of talent. Until the 25th you can check out Sarah Ferguson’s: NEFELIBATA: Cloud Walker. These paintings explore that idea through their unifying sky blue center and their differing outer diffusions of color. Playing with the infinite trifecta of light, color, and perception, Ferguson’s systematic compositions produce visual effects of surprising subtlety. You can watch a Virtual Tour of one of the exhibitions on their website if you can’t make it out before a certain exhibition is over.
Gallery Shoal Creek

Relocated in 2013 to its new location in East Austin, this gallery has been able to showcase many artists’ work and allows for more intimate viewings of certain pieces. This gallery has the ability to show three-dimensional pieces as well.
Canopy Austin

This studio sits on a four-acre property allowing the three buildings on the property to showcase 45 small studios, three galleries, several creative offices, and a coffee shop. Canopy also works with Big Medium, the brand that helps put on the East Austin Studio Tour and West Austin Studio Tour.
ADINA Gallery

This gallery is only open by appointment only and carries works of many different mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, and photography. ADINA also offers art consultation for residential and commercial spaces.
Yard Dog Art Gallery

grayDUCK

As one of the newer art galleries in Austin, the grayDUCK gallery resides in a refurbished 100-year-old house in East Austin. They have monthly shows highlighting artists’ work from a broad range of experiences and invite guests for poetry readings, film, music, and performance.
Studio Tours
Both the East Austin Studio Tour and West Austin Studio Tour are free annual self-guided art tours through the areas of East and West Austin. For two weekends of the months of November (East Austin) and May (West Austin), you can browse a plethora of local galleries and pop-up shops to view and purchase art from local artists. You can apply through the website to submit your work or host a show.
Austin also boasts several great indoor and outdoor art museums to experience. From The Contemporary Austin Jones Center to Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Mexic-Arte Museum, you don’t want to miss out on Austin’s art scene.
