As we look at the statistics month to month and compare 2020 vs 2019, it is apparent, that we are experiencing a new normal in Austin. This city continues to find its way in this new environment, but some aspects are strong and worth noting. Austin property values are remaining strong and median sales prices continue to experience an uptick. The amount of homes for sale have decreased over 20%, so there is a lack of inventory during this time as buyers continue to circle for the right home. Days on the market are lower than ever with the average for all areas hovering at 44. With less on the market, we have fewer sold properties compared to last year. The market has taken a dip due to this, but the activity that continues proves Austin will climb as the economy and people recover.
