Tribeza 2018 Interiors Tour: An Inside Look

Tribeza 2018 Interiors Tour: An Inside Look

The annual Tribeza Interiors Tour sprawled throughout the city of Austin on Sunday. Ten of Austin's most prominent designers opened the doors of their clients' homes and personal homes for visitors, and not a single soul left disappointed! From bold pops of color with eccentric accents to subdued hues and natural fibers, each home had a personality of its own that was well-serviced by its interior décor. Here are a few of our favorites!

Striking colors welcome visitors into the powerful designs at Merrilee McGehee's client's home. A remodeled contemporary abode, this photographer's home is drenched in bold colors and designed with an out-of-the-box approach. In a meeting of true artistic minds, the fuchsia bookshelf in the library is juxtaposed with colorful African prints reminiscent of the client's travels.

Andrea Giles

This 5,500-square-foot home was full of notable design choices, but the main living and dining areas (complete with a breakfast nook) stole the show. Terra cotta tile floors in the kitchen played side-by-side with earthy tones that carried into the living area, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a sprawling backyard deck and yard.

John Allison

NEST Modern

John Allison, co-owner of Nest Modern, fills his newly-built personal home with urban modern pieces (many from his store.) Dark oak floors and Italian furniture meet Midcentury modern pieces alongside a plethora of original art and a few antique accents, making the space feel sophisticated yet inviting.

Robin Colton

Robin Colton Studio

Tucked away in North Central Austin, this two-story modern condominium embraces the idea of loft living in a simplistic and beautiful way. Soothing tones are used on both the main and second levels of the home, with a studio-esque layout sectioned off through the use of sliding doors, hanging metallic beaded curtains, and a bookshelf that overlooks the stairs.

You can find more information about the homes on tour, as well as the inspiration behind the design, on Tribeza's Interiors Tour 2018 guide. The tour was a great sneak peek into Austin's finest design minds, and we can't wait for next year!
