McKinney Falls State Park is a hidden gem located just 13 miles southeast of downtown Austin.The park's limestone formations and rolling hills provide a beautiful backdrop for bluebonnets, making for a truly picturesque scene. There are several trails throughout the park where you can view the flowers up close, including the Rock Shelter Trail and the Onion Creek Hike and Bike Trail.

About an hour and a half northwest of Austin, the Willow City Loop is a scenic drive that takes you through fields of bluebonnets and other wildflowers. It's a popular spot for photos and picnics. The loop can get busy on weekends, so it is advised to visit on a weekday.
