Emily Moreland founded Moreland Properties in 1986 with a simple but enduring belief: exceptional real estate is built on trust, integrity, and lasting relationships. What began as a boutique Austin brokerage has grown into the city's leading independent residential real estate firm, serving generations of clients while remaining steadfastly committed to the values on which it was founded.

As Founder and Chairman of the Board, Emily continues to provide strategic guidance while serving as a trusted advisor to the company's leadership team and agents. Her vision has shaped Moreland's reputation for market expertise, personalized service, and an unwavering commitment to both its clients and the Austin community. Nearly four decades later, the principles that inspired the company's founding continue to define its culture and distinguish the Moreland experience.

Throughout her career, Emily has been deeply committed to mentoring others and sharing the insight, perspective, and professionalism that have helped generations of real estate professionals build successful careers. Her influence extends well beyond the brokerage through decades of civic leadership and community involvement, including service with the Long Center for the Performing Arts, Ballet Austin, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Foundation Communities, and the American Red Cross.

Together with President Sarah Railey, whose own career was shaped by Emily’s mentorship, Emily remains committed to preserving the firm's independence, strengthening its culture, and ensuring Moreland continues to serve Austin with integrity for generations to come.

Outside the office, Emily treasures time with her family. She is the proud mother of Ben, Eric, and Jan, grandmother of six granddaughters, and great-grandmother of four. Whether gathered at the Moreland Ranch or around the family table, she cherishes the traditions, relationships, and sense of home that have always inspired both her life and her business.
