HIGHWAY 360
HIGHWAY 183 TO MOPAC

This highway is already a scenic drive, but during this time of year, the sides of the road are adorned with indigo-colored bluebonnets – best viewed between Hwy 183 and Mopac.

MULESHOE BEND RECREATION AREA

FREDERICKSBURG

If you're driving from Austin, enjoy a scenic route through the Texas Hill Country, with bluebonnets scattered along the way. LLANO
North of Fredericksburg, up Highway 16 to Llano

If you have time to spare, pass through Burnet and Llano on the way to or from Fredericksburg. The bluebonnets that dot the sides of Highway 16 and Highway 29 are breathtaking in the spring.

BURNET
About 30 minutes East of Llano

Often referred to as the 'Bluebonnet Capital of the World,' Burnet is filled with vibrant bluebonnets and even features a giant bluebonnet statue. The annual Bluebonnet Festival, held every April, offers live music, parades, kid-friendly rides, and a wildflower show.
