40 Years of helping current and future Austinites find a new place to call home means fully immersing ourselves into the wonderfully expansive culture of arts that really bring Austin and its people to life.
With the promise of another characteristically hot summer ahead of us, we invite you to dive in and experience that culture with us. From running shows to live music to visual exhibitions, there will always be something happening to add some fun, uniquely “Austin” flavor in between days spent cooling off on the water, sharing a drink, or wandering the bustle of downtown.
Blues on the Green
June 9 – 10 | 7pm | Zilker Park | Free
Returning June 9th and 10th, don’t miss this opportunity to experience the widely-loved Austin tradition right in the middle of Zilker Park. Bring a friend, some refreshments, and a blanket – completely free and open to the community, that’s all you’ll need to see some live music this summer.
Ballet Austin

In the lull between productions, Ballet Austin offers a wide range of classes and workshops for folks of all ages and experience levels. If listening to the blues got you in a groove, follow that feeling to one of their drop-in sessions.
Paramount Theater’s 2026 Summer Classic Film Series
June – August | Austin Paramount Theater
If you feel like hopping in a cultural time machine, strap in for The Paramount Theater’s 2026 Summer Classic Film Series. The antique-style interior adds a level of authenticity that is a must-have when sitting in for movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark (Showing June 10th), Singin’ in the Rain (Showing June 11th), or even Jaws (Showing June 16th) – just don’t let it scare you away from a free night swim at Barton Springs afterwards!
Zilker Hillside Theater

Right across from the pool, the longstanding and beloved Zilker Hillside Theater will be performing Singin’ in the Rain from July 10th to August 15th. Dry off, sit down, and have a laugh at this iconic musical comedy.
TexARTS Theater

For our performance-loving folks in Lakeway, TexARTS professional theater and arts education center has established themselves as the cornerstone nonprofit performing arts organization in the Lake Travis region – come see what they’ve built and the talent they uplift with their production run of Rock of Ages, showing July 10th through August 9th.
The Art of Banksy “Without Limits”

Even if you aren’t well-versed in the world of street art, we’re sure you’ve heard this name: Experience the work of the revered and mysterious Banksy in this mind-bending installation and mural-based exhibition open through the whole summer into September.
Exhibitions at the Blanton Museum of Art
March 8 - August 2 | Tuesday – Sunday | The University of Texas at Austin
A long-standing staple of UT campus and a symbolic pillar of both classic and modern art, the Blanton Museum of Art is offering two unique exhibitions to explore this summer. Both running until August 2nd, explore Run the Code: Data-Driven Art Decoded by Thoma Foundation X Blanton Museum of Art, and American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection: From Edward Hopper to Alma Thomas. Offering free admissions on Tuesdays, we hope you’ll take time to explore everything the museum has to offer, including its vast permanent collection and open outdoor fixtures.
Exhibitions at the Mexic-Arte Museum
April 17 - August 9 | Congress Avenue
If you find yourself wandering down 5th street, you’ll certainly want to stop in at the Mexic-Arte Museum, the official Mexican and Mexican-American Museum of Texas, home to an extensive collection of art and material culture, celebrating Latinx visual expression and history. This summer, they’re running the exhibition Rosas y Revelaciones: Homage to la Virgen de Guadalupe, which will feature wearable and textile-based art from 16 states across Mexico.
Cool Arts Show

Presenting fine art, jewelry, pottery, family activities, and live music, join us down at the Lakeway Activity Center on August 22nd to commemorate local creators and community.
Barton Creek Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday | 9am – 1pm | Barton Creek Mall | Free
Open Saturdays, come explore Austin’s Original Farmer’s Market. Alongside fresh produce, they also foster artists and craftsmen who sell handmade and curated jewelry, knives, sculptures, and much more. When the day is hot, it’s an unmissable morning activity for those who love locally sourced and crafted goods.
Ghost Pepper Glass

In the mood for something a bit more daring? Ghost Pepper Glass offers a variety of glass-blowing flame-working classes with beginner and child-friendly options in their glass-casting workshops. Even if you’re just passing through, it’s definitely worth the drop-in to browse the pieces they create (and to meet their friendly K9 support team.)
Blue Moon Glassworks and Helios

Established as Austin’s only full-service stained glass and fused glass studio, Blue Moon hosts many different open workshops and beginner-friendly classes for crafting fun things from little fish to candle votives. There’s no time like the present to learn something new!
