Here are a few November events to add to your calendar.
November 6–8 | Auditorium Shores
The Austin Food + Wine Festival brings together top chefs, local favorites, tastings, cooking demonstrations and live-fire experiences at Auditorium Shores. With downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake as the backdrop, it’s a quintessentially Austin way to spend a fall weekend.
November 6–15 | New Braunfels
Just a short drive from Austin, Wurstfest brings 10 days of German-inspired food, live music, dancing, carnival rides and plenty of festive fun to New Braunfels. The annual celebration is a Texas tradition with a distinctly Bavarian twist — and a great excuse for a fall day trip.
November 12–15 | Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa
Golf fans can catch the PGA TOUR in action when the Austin Championship comes to Omni Barton Creek’s Fazio Canyons course. The tournament will feature 120 players competing as part of the FedExCup Fall, bringing professional golf back to Austin for an exciting November weekend.
November 14–15 | Texas State Capitol & Downtown Austin
For a quieter way to spend a fall weekend, head downtown for the Texas Book Festival. One of the country’s premier literary events, the festival features author talks, readings, panel discussions, book signings, food, live music and activities for readers of all ages.
November 14–15 & 21–22 | Locations Throughout Austin
Artists throughout the city open their studios to the public, offering the chance to meet local makers, see works in progress and discover something unique to take home. It’s also a great way to get to know some of Austin’s neighborhoods from a different perspective.
November 13–22 | Palmer Events Center & Junior League Community Impact Center
The holiday season officially gets underway with the Junior League of Austin’s A Christmas Affair. This beloved annual tradition combines festive events, family activities and holiday shopping, with more than 200 merchants participating in the 2026 market. The shopping market runs November 19–22 at Palmer Events Center, with additional holiday events taking place throughout the week.
November 13–December 24 | Blue Genie Big Top
Browse handmade jewelry, artwork, home goods, accessories and one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting independent makers. The 2026 Holiday Bazaar opens November 13 and runs daily through Christmas Eve.
November 26 | Downtown Austin
The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot brings thousands of runners and walkers downtown for a 5-mile run, 1-mile walk and Kids K. Whether you're racing for a personal best or simply working up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner, it's a festive way to kick off the holiday.
November 29 | Zilker Park
The Zilker Holiday Tree will officially light up on November 29, marking the beginning of the holiday season at Zilker Park. The iconic tree stands 155 feet tall and features more than 3,300 lights wrapped around one of Austin’s historic moonlight towers.
