One of Austin’s beautiful art institutions, The Blanton Museum of Art, is back and open for business. With all the proper precautions in place, The Blanton is once again allowing visitors into its halls. Head over so that you can see pieces from their current exhibitions, which include The Avant-garde Networks of Amauta: Argentina, Mexico, and Peru in the 1920s; Ed Ruscha: Drum Skins; and The Artist at Work.
Planning your visit will be slightly different this time around. Here are some of the changes the staff has made to make your experience as safe as possible, alongside their new modified hours.
- Required advance-timed ticket reservations
- Masks required for visitors and staff
- Lessened capacity
- Social distancing on-site
- Frequent cleaning
- Wednesdays-Saturdays
- Sundays
- Mondays and Tuesdays
The museum is still free entry every Thursday, thanks to the folks over at the Moody Foundation.
