About Megan Matza

Megan Matza brings with her two decades of Austin real estate experience and time-honored relationships as she connects her clients with their dream homes and spaces for building and creating. 

A 5^th generation Austinite, Megan has witnessed firsthand Austin’s explosive growth—from a sleepy town known for its live music to one of the fastest growing real estate markets in the country, attracting Fortune 500 companies, tech startups, international festivals and conferences to relocate to Austin and call it home.  

Megan’s professional background includes years of experience in real estate valuation for one of the nation’s top investment banks, giving her a unique grasp on modeling the value of properties and helping her clients look beyond closing day to forecast the future value of their investment. She has extensive experience in understanding the local property tax process and has helped guide many clients appeal to reduce their tax burdens and make their homes a more affordable investment.  

Megan prides herself on building relationships with key partners in the Austin real estate community, including brokers, banks, and builders, to ensure her clients are always informed and a step ahead in what can otherwise be a quickly changing and challenging market. Megan enjoys extended access to the private market in Austin, where 1/3 of Austin’s luxury homes are bought and sold, as well as direct access to the vast reach of Moreland Properties’ long-established network. 

Megan not only grew up in Austin but has raised her own family here and has bought, sold, and built homes in Central and West Austin. She knows firsthand both the endless possibilities of the Austin market – and its challenges--and she will walk you through each step of the process with relatable, helpful, real-time information.  

When she’s off the clock, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, and their two daughters, wake surfing on Lake Austin, listening to live music, or grabbing a margarita and tacos at their favorite Tex-Mex spot Matt’s El Rancho.
